“Innovative”, “original”, “the

used to describe RTA’s launch of POPware at Exclusively Housewares
2007.
POPware takes some traditional mainstays of the kitchen and updates
them for the 21st Century by taking advantage of the flexibility and
durability of silicone.
The signature piece of the range is the 8” POP Strainer –
simply expands with a flick of the wrist or collapses to the thickness
of a dinner plate! Stores flat and cleans flat in the dishwasher!
Carl Saunders, CEO, said:
“Colanders and funnels are essential equipment in any kitchen,
but are awkward to clean and tend to be ‘space hungry’ when
you need to store them.
POPware fundamentally addresses these issues: strainers, colanders and
funnels which not only collapse for easy storage but also (because there
are no hidden surfaces) wash flat in the dishwasher!”
Carl Saunders went on to offer some advice for any potential plagiarists:
“Such are the unique design elements of POPware we fully expect
to have to protect our brand vigorously; indeed, we are in the process
of taking action against a couple of companies and we will continue
to do so wherever necessary!”
